
Audition for Ballet Arts
AUDITION PROCESS
Trainees should be prepared to dance from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Performing members should be prepared to dance from 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. after a required General Meeting of parents and dancers from 11:00-11:30 a.m. All dancers should arrive in time to warm up on their own prior to their audition. The studios will be available earlier for warm-up.
FEES
At the time of the audition each dancer will be asked to pay a non-refundable $25 audition fee. Fees for the year will be $250 for all members. Families with multiple dancers will receive $100 off each dancer after the first full dancer fee is paid.
REQUIREMENTS
Dancers must be at least 10 years old by August 1 to audition for the Trainee level. Those auditioning for the Performing Company must be at least 13 years old by August 1.
All Trainees must take at least 2-3 ballet classes per week. All Performing members must take at least 3-5 ballet classes per week. Pointe will count toward these requirements.
PAPERWORK REQUIRED AT AUDITION
All new dancers to Ballet Arts, Inc. will be asked to present their original birth certificate. A physical examination will also be required of all dancers, as well as the additional documents listed below. Please bring these items with you to the audition.

After company placements are made, each dancer will be given a set of rules and regulations applicable to their level. Also, each dancer will be required to sign a contract acknowledging their compliance with these rules and regulations.
