Pat Brown Seltzer
Artistic Director

Pat first studied dance with Jane Hart in Hartford, Connecticut, and then at the Hartford Conservatory. She was trained in the Cecchetti method of ballet. She has been Artistic Director of Ballet Arts since its beginning in 1972. In 1999 the Tennessee Association of Dance awarded Mrs. Pat “Dance Teacher of the Year.”

Stephanie Freeman
Assistant Artistic Director

Stephanie received a B.F.A. in ballet from the University of Utah. Then she received her M.F.A. in dance from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She has danced with various small civic companies in the Kansas City area.  Mrs. Stephanie has had her own dance studio and taught dance on the college level.
