Brain Dance…Learning from the Inside Out

Brain Dance…Learning from the Inside Out is a series of workshops for educators, parents, and care-givers who want to provide meaningful, challenging, and engaging curricula to their students and children.  For teachers of Pre-Schoolers- 6th grade, home-schoolers, dance, special-needs children, and Allied Health Professionals.

Join Anne Green Gilbert as she shares the philosophy of brain-compatible teaching and the power of the BrainDance, the subject of her newest book published in 2006, Brain-Compatible Dance Education.  Through movement and discussion Anne will take participants through her patently successful 5-part conceptual lesson plan and the 10 brain-compatible principles that underpin it.  Discover how incorporating these principles into your teaching can positively affect class management, behavior, learning, and focus!  Creative and practical ways to integrate other subjects into dance classes and dance into other subject areas will also be addressed.

Dates/Times:
Pre-School - Kindergarten:  Saturday 9-12:00 p.m.
1st-6th grade:  Saturday, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Dance Teachers:  Sunday, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Special Needs Children:  Sunday, 4:00-6:30 p.m.

Cost:
$35.00 per registrant.  If registration will be received after August 17, add $5.
