Ballet Arts of Jackson

Children’s Ballet Tea Parties

Before the matinee performance of The Nutcracker and the spring ballet, Ballet Arts hosts a tea party for children and their parents, grandparents, and other guests. It is held in the Miss America Room in the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson. Honored guests are served tea, tea sandwiches, and desserts. Individual tables are decorated in the theme of the performance.

After the delicious tea fare is over, the children are treated to visits from characters from the ballet. Also, they are helped to make a craft to take home. They even have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with one of the main characters.

A drawing is held for a lucky tea party guest to present the principal guest dancer with a bouquet of flowers on stage during the final curtain call after the performance.

This year Ballet Arts is pleased that the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea and the Fairy Godmother’s Tea Party will be sponsored by FMY Orthodontics, P.A.

Purchase Fairy Godmother’s Tea Party tickets online beginning February 1, 2010, or call 731-668-3240 for ticket reservations.
