Company Membership
Ballet Arts is a membership based organization. Each dancer is required to complete a yearly audition to join the company. Once selected, you are joining a legacy that for four decades has been successful in offering quality performances to the West Tennessee community and preparing young dancers with beneficial life skills for their future.
Age Requirements
Ballet Arts is open to any dancer 10-18 years of age from any dance studio throughout West Tennessee. In order to join, the dancer must be 10 years old on or by Oct. 1, and have at least two years of formal ballet training and be dancing at an upper beginner level or intermediate level.

We also offer our primary program for dancers who are 8-9 years old.
Yearly Fee
As of August 1, 2024 yearly fees for ALL company members are $400 per year. It can be paid all at once, in two payments, or four monthly payments. Balances must be paid in full by November 9, 2024. It is the desire of the Board of Directors that no dancer is excluded from participation in the company due to financial constraints. Our Member Care Committee will be happy to hear about any problems you may have with the fee schedule.
Fees are subject to change and there are no refunds if you choose to leave company.
Volunteer Hours
As with any non-profit organization, volunteer work is vastly important to the smooth running of the organization. This is especially true for Ballet Arts, Inc. because we are a volunteer staffed organization. There is a place for each and every one of you and you are needed! There have been years our parents and friends of Ballet Arts logged in over 8,000 hours of volunteer time. That is impressive for such a small organization and our parents are to be commended! Our Friends and Family coordinators are available to answer questions regarding our many committees and will get you plugged in.
